Lagos Assembly Crisis: Obasa To Resign on Wednesday

The leadership crisis in Lagos State House of Assembly is yet to be resolved as Governance Advisory Council restate that reinstated Speaker, Hon Mudashiru Obasa will step aside on Wednesday.

Insider sources at the GAC resolution meeting held on Sunday says the resignation of Hon Mojisola Meranda aimed at giving Obasa soft landing.

According to the source, it’s clear that Lagos Assembly members don’t want Obasa as Speaker again. Lawmakers insisted that the Speaker must emerge on Wednesday. The Speaker will come from Lagos West. Meranda resigned to achieve balance of power among the three Senatorial districts in Lagos State.
