Lagos Govt Seals Dominion Pizza Over Illegal Discharge Of Untreated Sewage in Lekki

The Lagos State Government has sealed off Dominion Pizza, located at No. 38B, Freedom Way, Lekki, Eti-Osa, over the indiscriminate discharge of untreated sewage into the environment and public drainage channels.
The Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Barrister Tokunbo Wahab, disclosed this via his official social media platforms, noting that the enforcement action was carried out by the Lagos State Wastewater Management Office (LSWMO) on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
According to the Commissioner, the action followed a complaint received from a concerned resident and a thorough investigation by the Agency, which revealed that untreated wastewater from an overfilled septic tank was being discharged from the facility’s sewage chamber into the surrounding environment.
Barrister Wahab stated that the environmental infraction caused serious nuisance within the area, including offensive odour and health concerns capable of endangering residents and members of the public.
He reiterated the commitment of the Lagos State Government to environmental sustainability, public safety, and strict enforcement of sanitation laws across the state, warning that any individual or organisation found violating environmental regulations would face appropriate sanctions and possible prosecution in line with the provisions of the law.
The Commissioner also urged residents and property owners to embrace proper wastewater management practices and report environmental infractions through the Agency’s official lines: 08022022397 and 07025332163.
