Martins joins Rivers United on free transfer

Rivers United have completed the signing of Ossy Martins on a free transfer.

The 22-year-old signed a one-year contract with the former Nigeria Professional Football League champions.

Martins last played for Tunisian club, Tataouine.

The forward was expected to travel to Sweden to join Östers IF but the move didn’t materialise due to visa and time constraints.

The energetic forward will battle Nyima Nwagua for a starting berth in Rivers United’s first team.

He once had a stint with the Lobi Stars Rangers International of Enugu.
