NCC highlights five economic benefits of 5G technology in Nigeria

The Nigerian Communications Commission, (NCC) has highlighted five economic benefits of the fifth Generation Technology (5G) in Nigeria.  

The Commission is expected to roll-out the 5G technology in the country soon.

The NCC while highlighting the benefits said in terms of business experience, the 5G deployment is expected to offer faster speed, low latency and high capacity that will transform consumer and business experience in Nigeria.

And in line with global standard, the 5G with respect to e-Health will be beneficial to precision medicine, imaging and diagnostic, genomics/big data analysis and remote surgery even as the NCC noted that the 5G will enhance incident/disaster alert and response time

The commission further explained that agricultural development will experience boost when sensors with 5G wireless connectivity begins to optimize efficiency of agric-machineries, minimize water and fertilizer wastage through targeted application.

The smart learning vibes will be enhanced when 5G technology is in the classroom even as it also said to enable new and innovative ways of learning.

The NCC is optimistic that augmented virtual reality will help student acquire a more interactive learning experience.
