NEWS FLASH: ASUU finally declares nationwide strike
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has declared a “total and comprehensive” strike.
The strike was declared on Monday during a press conference addressed by ASUU President Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke.
Members of the union’s National Executive Council have been holding marathon meetings at the University of Lagos since Saturday under the banner ‘NEC for NEC.’
ASUU had sensitize and mobilized lecturers and students at all universities about the reasons why the union might go on strike.
