Nigeria extradites ‘Yahoo Boy’ suspects to US over $148,000 fraud

The Federal Government has extradited to the United States a wire fraud suspect known as ‘Yahoo Yahoo’ for an alleged $148,000 fraud.

Adedunmola Gbadegesin is wanted in the United States on suspicion of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering, according to Wilson Uwujaren, spokesman for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), in a statement on Wednesday.

He explained that the suspect was apprehended in Nigeria on September 2, 2021, for allegedly defrauding a Kentucky-based American lady.

Uwujaren stated that the suspect would be prosecuted for alleged violations of Title 18, US Code, Section 1349, and 1956. (h).
