TECNO Brings Excitement to Nigerian Idol Season 9 with Thrilling Sponsorship and Fan Engagement Activities!



Nigerian Idol Season 9, one of Nigeria’s premier singing competitions, has kicked off with a bang, thanks to TECNO‘s  exciting sponsorship and fan engagement activities! As the headline sponsor of the reality TV show, TECNO is adding an extra layer of excitement and support for the contestants, while also rewarding fans with amazing prizes and gift items across all their social media pages.


The first live show, which took place on Sunday, May 26, 2024, was hosted by the charismatic IK Osakioduwa, and the judges’ table consisted of music industry experts Omawunmi, Ric Hassani, and 9ice! The night was filled with excitement as the contestants performed live for the first time, and the judges provided constructive feedback on their performances. However, it was a bitter-sweet night for some contestants, as Jeph Kent was evicted from the competition. On the other hand, Lammy secured a spot in the top 10, much to the delight of his fans.


TECNO  made the night even more special by gifting users who attended the live show. Audience at the live show also won fantastic branded items like headphones and other exciting prizes. This gesture was a demonstration of TECNO‘s commitment to empowering Nigerian youth through music and technology.

  • TECNO Jingle: A contest where contestants will perform a song infusing TECNO and CAMON 30 Specs- Stop At Nothing, with a celebrity guest judge and a reward of N500,000 for the winner.

  • Open Verse: A TikTok contest where fans can use a beat from a producer and post with the hashtag #TECNOpenverse, with a reward of N50,000 for 7 winners.

  • Weekly Engagement: Trivia questions will be posted across TECNO social media pages every week, with 10 winners per week receiving N5,000 each.

  • TECNO Moments: During the TECNO Moment on Nigerian Idol live show, viewers will be asked to participate in a quiz on social media using a specific hashtag, with 10 winners receiving N5,000 airtime every week.

  • TECNO Home Edition: A live show every week on FB/IG Live sessions, where 5 lucky callers will showcase their singing talents, with a reward of a CAMON 30 smartphone for 8 winners.
