NLO raises matchfixing suspicion during league match

The Nationwide League suspects an act of match fixing in the game between Hypebuzz FC and Beautiful Tours FC.

The match, which ended 6-1 in favour of Hypebuzz, was played at the Bwari Stadium, Abuja on Monday.

The NLO placed the match under review, due to unusual high number of goals scored in the match being the last game of the group.

The Nigeria Football Federation Technical department will study the full 90 minutes to detect if there are any elements of compromise.

The decision will be communicated to the Nigeria Football Federation for further sanctions.

It would be recalled that the NLO had placed a two-year ban on players and officials of ABU Workers FC, AMBASSADORS FC over matchfixing.
