NPFL: Bendel Insurance remain unbeaten after draw against Kwara United

Bendel Insurance rallied to hold Kwara United to a 1-1 draw in their Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 13 encounter at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, on Saturday.

Alao Mohammed scored from a superb free kick in the 68th minute to hand Kwara United the lead.

The home team fought back and equalised through Deputy Echeta 12 minutes from time.

Echeta also scored the equalising goal in Insurance’s 1-1 draw against Plateau United last weekend.

The Benin Arsenals preserved their unbeaten streak but could see their lead at the top of the Group A log further cut down by Akwa United on Sunday.

In another NPFL game, Dakkada defeated Doma United 1-0 in Uyo.

It was Doma United’s first defeat in four outings.

The eight remaining fixtures will be played on Sunday.
