OAU management debunks rumoured death of ex-VC, Elujoba

Authorities at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife have debunked rumours making the rounds that the former acting Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Elujoba Anthony is dead.

The Institution in a statement by its Public Relations Officer of the University, Abiodun Olarewaju on Thursday debunked the news to the journalists.

Olarewaju who confirmed that Elujoba was involved in an accident described the rumour of his death as false adding that it was calculated by the wicked.

According to him, the rumour was not only false but spread by wicked, malicious, unfortunate and downright satanic.

“Most unfortunate was that a few conventional media houses also aired the rumours on their frequency modulation, abandoning the age-long media maxim of “if in doubt, leave out”.

Olarewaju noted that it is heartwarming that the former VC responding to treatment.
