Ogun FRSC Decorates Newly Promoted Senior Officers

Ogun State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), CC Akinwunmi Fasakin on Thursday –August 7, 2025, decorated three senior officers recently promoted from the rank of Assistant Corps Commander (ACC) to Deputy Corps Commander (DCC).
The newly promoted officers and decorated from the rank of ACC to DCC are Mosinmi Unit Commander, Nurat Yemisi Awe; Itori Unit– Samusideen Okusi; and Ogere Unit – Tola Ogundipe.
The decoration ceremony took place at the FRSC Ogun Sector Command’s Headquarters, Abeokuta.
Speaking during the event, Sector Commander CC Fasakin attributed the promotions of the officers’ as a result of their outstanding discipline, dedication and hard work.
She noted that the advancement was part of a nationwide promotion exercise approved by the FRSC management for senior officers.
“This promotion is a reward for commitment and excellence. To whom much is given, much is expected. The Corps is expected you all to continue to raise the bar and lead by example. Remain steadfast, loyal, and committed to the road safety system. Advancement in the service required consistent dedication and readiness,” CC Fasakin said.
The sector commander encouraged all officers to be well-prepared for higher responsibilities and brace themselves for future assignments, promotions, and opportunities that may arise.
In her response DCC Awe expressed gratitude on behalf of her colleagues, thanking the FRSC leadership for the recognition.
“We are deeply honored and pledge to remain committed to the responsibilities entrusted to us,” she said. “We thank the Corps Marshal, the management team, and especially the Sector Commander, whose fatherly guidance and discipline played a key role in our progress.”
DCC Awe also acknowledged the support of their teams, particularly first responders, for their role in easing traffic congestion in high-pressure areas within the state.
She concluded that she had no regrets joining the FRSC as It’s been a fulfilling journey which makes her look forward to contributing more to the Corps’ success.
