Ogunbote reveals secrets behind Shooting Stars’ good run

Shooting Stars head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote, has revealed the secret behind his team’s recent impressive form in the Nigeria Premier Football League.

The Oluyole Warriors extended their unbeaten run to four games after thrashing Gombe United 3-0 at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, on Sunday night.

Shooting Stars can now be sure of their safety in the NPFL this season and are in the mix for a Super Six spot.

Ogunbote attributed the team’s good run to hard work and understanding between the players.

“There is no magic to it other than hard work, aside from that the players are getting used to each other and we noticed some grey areas which we tried to make amends to,” he said in a post-match interview.

“We want to finish on a high note, we need to finish in an appreciable position.”

Shooting Stars moved up to the fifth position on the Group A standings with 21 points.
