Osun Health Insurance Agency insures 206,659 people

The Osun Health Insurance Agency has enlisted 206,659 residents in order to alleviate their financial strain on health-care expenses.

Adeoye Adelakun, the agency’s chairman, revealed this to journalists on Tuesday at the Osun NUJ Correspondent Chapel in Osogbo.

He stated that Governor Adegboyega Oyetola was very passionate about the project and was devoted to ensuring that the people of the state received quality healthcare.

He stated that mechanisms had been put in place to assure excellent service delivery and to monitor hospitals, and that any facility that failed to serve enrollees properly would be sanctioned appropriately.

Dr Niyi Ogini, Executive Secretary of the Osun Health Insurance Scheme, stated that the scheme had alleviated the people of their financial burden in terms of health cost.
