This week in Big Brother’s house has revealed new personalities, great performances, new relationships, ‘situationships’, and in-your-face confrontations. The show is definitely staying true to this season’s theme, ‘Ziyakala Wahala’

Let’s look at some of what’s been happening in Biggie’s house.

The diary session took on a new twist when Big Brother decided to have a group diary session for each paired housemate. Here are some of the highlights of the session.

During team Juiovla’s session, Juicy Jay hinted that his partner, Olivia’s insistence on putting team Thabana up for eviction was because she likes Thabang who didn’t return her feeling. This revelation left Olivia feeling emotional.

The Royals, Tsatsii and Ebubu, attributed their failure at the arena games to their lack of focus. They referred to themselves as underdogs and told Biggie they are one of the strongest team in the house.

Team Yelissa talked about the pressure of being the tail of the house for the second week in a row and the frequent nominations. They attributed this to being seen as threats and added that the lack of communication between them resulted in their poor performance at the arena games.

Earlier in the week, team Kaniva, Blue Aiva and Kanaga Jnr emerged Heads of House after winning their HoH game. Apart from the immunity they will enjoy this week, they also have the power to save a pair from nomination by replacing them with another.

Yaya had an altercation with Mmeli about his ‘situationship’ with Nelisa. Yaya accused Mmeli of avoiding Nelisa after he having a hot moment in the sheets. She said, “You are wrong for sleeping with that girl and treating her the way you are treating her right now. She is someone’s child, you shouldn’t have slept with her, you are wrong”.

It’s rumored that Mmeli and Nelisa had sex after they being spotted kissing and cuddling. A video clip, which has gone viral, showing Nelisa picking condoms for him may have been the cause of this rumor.

This week also, some new ships may have set sail in the house. Blue Aiva and Blaqboi were seen flirting in the lounge and the South African belle asked her ‘soon-to-be boo’ if he would like a kiss after complimenting his lips and expressing her desire to kiss him.

Marvin revealed his interest in Jaypee but has decided to take his time to understand her.

Fans and stans, however, say the Nigerian hunk has his eyes set on Yaya and the supposed chemistry between Marvin and Jaypee is dead on arrival.

Standing before an audience of entertainment executives, artistes, influencers and industry stakeholders at the prestigious Voyage Lagos, Dada said the Diamonds had been carefully selected because of their exceptional talent and potential to shape the future of African music. “You are not here by accident. You were chosen because we saw something special in you. We saw talent, passion, discipline and the potential to become stars not just in your countries, but across Africa and the world. “I am challenging you today to go out and dominate the music space in the next two to three years. The opportunity is here. The platform is here. The spotlight is on you. The next move belongs to you,” he said. Dada said AFRIMA’s vision extends beyond celebrating established stars, stressing that the awards platform was committed to building a pipeline of globally competitive African talents. He noted that Africa’s growing youth population presents a unique opportunity for governments and industry leaders to invest in the creative sector. “The world is moving towards a content creation economy. Content is the new currency. Young people are creating value every day through music, digital media, fashion and entertainment. Our culture is our competitive advantage. The question is how we can leverage it for economic benefit, job creation and sustainable development. That is the direction AFRIMA is focused on, and we will continue to invest in initiatives that empower young Africans through creativity,” he said. The seven Diamonds earned their place after a rigorous selection process conducted by AFRIMA’s International Jury before being introduced to a wider audience through performances at the AFRIMA Music Village during the ninth AFRIMA Awards. At the party in their honour, the Diamonds once again took centre stage, delivering electrifying performances that left guests cheering and offered a glimpse into what could become the next wave of African music stars. An emotional Black Astro described the initiative as a turning point in his career. “This opportunity has changed everything for me. AFRIMA has given us visibility, confidence and access to people who can help shape our future. We are ready to show the world what we can do,” he said. Mayowa Afolabi said, “Being named an AFRIMA Diamond is a dream come true. This platform has given us an opportunity that many young artistes spend years searching for.” Ellacentric also expressed gratitude for the journey, describing the experience as a powerful reminder that perseverance and hard work can eventually pay off.
