PALP Foundation Supports Widows and the Less Privileged in 6th Edition Event
The Princess Ajike Less Privilege Foundation (PALP) reaffirmed its commitment to community welfare by providing vital support to over 100 widows during its 6th edition event, held on 28th of November 2024 at Lagos Television in Agindigbi, Ikeja.
The initiative is part of PALP’s ongoing efforts to uplift the less privileged and create sustainable change in society. The event brought together a wide array of attendees, including traditional rulers, esteemed dignitaries, Nollywood actors, and prominent journalists, all united in support of PALP’s mission. Princess Ajike Omolade Ajewole Okenla, the founder of PALP and Yeye Are Asoludero of the Onitigbo of Itigbo Kingdom, expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the opportunity to serve those in need. In her address to the media, she underscored her unwavering commitment to effecting positive change and supporting the less privileged, emphasizing the importance of compassion in society.
Highlighting the significance of community support, The Olu of Agbegise Kingdom in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State, HRM Oba Dr. Joseph Shomade Adesina Ikubabayeye (Oromiyan lll), urged individuals in the diaspora to contribute to initiatives like PALP through sponsorship. He acknowledged the positive impact of the foundation’s work, particularly in light of current economic challenges, and praised Princess Ajike Omolade for her selflessness and dedication in using her personal resources to bring joy to others.
HRM Oba Olabode VT Thomas-Fagbayi (Adeyombo II) Onitigbo of Tigbo Land Ado-Odo Ota Awori Kingdom in Ogun State, expressed admiration for PALP’s mission, noting that the foundation has established a crucial platform for aiding society’s less fortunate.
