Peseiro wants Atalanta defender, Okoli to play for Super Eagles
Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro, will convince the Atalanta defender to switch international allegiance from Italy.
Okoli, who was born in Italy is of Nigerian descent.
The 21-year-old has represented Italy at the youth level but he is still eligible to play for Nigeria.
The centre-back is a teammate of Super Eagles winger, Ademola Lookman at Atalanta and Peseiro has stated he will give the latter the task of persuading Okoli to pledge his international future to Nigeria.
“Yes, we will try. After this friendly match against Portugal, there will be time to talk to him and to understand his decision, ” Peseiro told Tuttomercatoweb.
