Pilot identity enrolment to commence in Abuja, 6 states

The federal government through the Nigeria Digital Identification for Development, NDID4D project has disclosed plans to commence a pilot enrolment in Abuja and six states.

DAILY POST learnt in a statement by NDID4D’s External Communication Manager, Mouktar Adamu on Friday.

The statement disclosed that NDID4D would collaborate with the National Orientation Agency, NOA, to implement the initiative across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria from February 2023.

The coordinator of NDID4D, Solomon Odole during a courtesy visit to NOA office in Abuja explained that the project’s objective is to increase the number of persons with National Identity Number, NIN, in Nigeria.

He said that NDID4D is committed to enrolling the marginalised and hard-to-reach communities of over 250 million persons during the project’s life cycle.
