Real Madrid cry a lot – La Liga president, Javier Tebas takes swipe at Ancelotti’s side

La Liga president, Javier Tebas, has taken a swipe at Real Madrid, claiming Carlo Ancelotti’s side earns just as much as Premier League clubs.

The La Liga television rights and the amount that clubs earn from it compared to the Premier League sides have regularly been questioned by Spanish clubs.

Speaking about the issue, Tebas took shots at Madrid, saying (via Mundo Deportivo): “Our clubs on national television earn the same as those in the Premier League.

Madrid cries a lot and they cry a lot… but it is not true, they earn the same as those in the Premier.

“That is why when the teams with the highest income in the world come out, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona come out of the first. I don’t know what else they want.”

Real Madrid recently crashed out of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals after losing 4-0 to Premier League champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
