Rivers: INEC receives 50 applications for issuance of certified true copies

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has disclosed that it received 50 applications for issuance of certified true copies and access for inspection of election materials.

Rivers State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Johnson Alalibo, in a statement made available to newsmen, assured all applicants and the public that INEC is committed to discharge its constitutional duties without bias.

Alalibo urged Rivers people to cooperate and operate within the ambits of the law, to enable the commission to serve them better.

He noted that the application for CTC is a legitimate entitlement of candidates and parties, but added that there are processes to achieve it, which he said include payment of requisite fees.
