Rivers United set to sign Mizo from Bayelsa United
Rivers United are in advanced talks with Bayelsa United for star striker Robert Mizo.
According to a source from the player’s camp, the Restoration Boys’ top scorer is being offered double his salary by Rivers United.
Mizo helped Bayelsa United win the 2021 Federation Cup and scored nine times in the 2022–23 Nigeria Premier League season.
His goals, however, failed to prevent the team from getting relegated to the Nigeria National League (NNL).
Rivers United are also said to be interested in Shooting Stars forward Sikiru Alimi.
Sikiru has yet to sign the one-year contract offered to him by Shooting Stars.
