ROTARACT CLUBS OF AGEGE AND ORILE AGEGE EMPOWER EXPECTANT MOTHERS WITH MATERNAL HEALTH INITIATIVE
Lagos, Nigeria – Tuesday, July 30th, 2024 – The Rotaract Club of Agege, Rotaract Club of Orile Agege, and ProjectRED collaborated on a successful Maternal Health and Wellness Initiative at the Sango Primary Health Centre, Pen-Cinema, Agege, Lagos.
The initiative aimed to improve maternal health, enhance nutrition and wellness, and foster a supportive community among expectant and nursing mothers. The event achieved significant milestones, including:
- Donating birth kits to over 50 expectant mothers
- Providing 50 pampers and 100 sanitary pads to nursing mothers
- Hosting a successful health seminar on “Healthy Pregnancy: Nutrition, Health, and Wellness” attended by 20 Rotaract members
The initiative improved access to essential healthcare materials, enhanced knowledge and awareness of healthy pregnancy practices, and fostered a sense of community and support among beneficiaries.
The partnership between the Rotaract Club of Agege, Rotaract Club of Orile Agege, and ProjectRED demonstrates a commitment to supporting maternal health and wellness initiatives in the community.
The Rotaract Clubs of Agege and Orile Agege have pledged to build on this success and continue supporting maternal health initiatives in the future.
