Serie A: Osimhen similar to Ronaldo – Napoli boss, Garcia

Napoli manager, Rudi Garcia says Victor Osimhen shares similar leadership traits with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Garcia will tinker with the Partenopei in the new season after replacing Luciano Spalleti at the end of last campaign.

The Frenchman coached Ronaldo last season at Saudi club, Al Nassr.

The experienced tactician will have the opportunity of working with another top talent in Osimhen.

The Nigerian was instrumental to Napoli’s title success last season.

The 24-year-old scored 24 goals in 32 league appearances to emerge top scorer in Serie A.

Osimhen was the first African nay Nigerian to achieve the feat.

“Osimhen is a leader, he always wants to win and drag the team,” said Garcia, as quoted by Corriere dello Sport.

“He’s a bit like Cristiano Ronaldo. When he wins, he is super happy. He calls his teammates to take pictures and I like him. He is one of the best in the world, he could only attack, but he also helps the team defensively, he presses opponents and it’s so good for the team. This is part of the group’s qualities.”
