Vice President Kashim Shettima has commenced a two-week vacation following approval by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, marking his first official leave since the administration assumed office on May 29, 2023.

According to a statement issued on Thursday by the Vice President’s media aide, Stanley Nkwocha, the leave will be devoted to personal study, reflection, and intellectual renewal aimed at strengthening Shettima’s capacity for continued service to the nation.

The statement noted that the period will also provide the Vice President with an opportunity to review the Federal Government’s ongoing programmes, deepen his understanding of emerging national and global policy issues, and prepare for the responsibilities ahead as the Tinubu administration intensifies the implementation of its Renewed Hope Agenda.
