Sierra Leone vs Nigeria: Super Eagles camp opens with seven players

Seven players have arrived at the Super Eagles camp ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tie against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone.

Vice-captain William Troost-Ekong, Ademola Lookman, Joe Aribo, Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey, Semi Ajayi, and Kevin Akpoguma are among the arrivals in camp.

More players are expected in camp on Sunday night.

Head coach Jose Peseiro invited 23 players for the game.

The Super Eagles will have their first training session at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, on Monday.

The encounter will take place at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium in Monrovia, Liberia, next Sunday.

Nigeria needs just a point from the game to seal a place in Cote d’Ivoire 2023.
