Submit your credentials for screening – Oyo lawmakers to commissioner-nominees

The Oyo State House of Assembly has directed those whose names were submitted by Governor Seyi Makinde as commissioner-nominees to submit their credentials for proper screening.

The Assembly gave the directive on Thursday during plenary in Ibadan.

DAILY POST earlier reported that the governor had sent the names of seven people to the lawmakers for confirmation.

The list contained the names of six former commissioners and one new person.

The commissioner-nominees are Mr Adeniyi Adebisi, Mr Akinola Ojo, Prof Musibau Babatunde, Prof Daud Sangodoyin, Mr Seun Ashamu, Alhaja Fausat Joke Sanni and Mrs Toyin Balogun.

The Speaker of the House, Adebo Ogundoyin, while reading the message from the executive on Thursday, directed the commissioner-nominees to submit their credentials to the office of the clerk before 5 pm tomorrow, Friday, June 23, 2023.

The lawmakers noted that Tuesday, June 27, has been fixed for the screening of the nominees.
