Tension in Bauchi community as police stab two people to death

In the Yelwa district, a suburb of the Bauchi metropolitan area in Bauchi, tensions are rising after police officer stabbed three residents and two died.

Currently, a local youth is blocking the road from the intersection of Elim Church to the headquarters of the Yelwa Division to protest the case.

Angry youths were seen throwing stones at police and Yelwa police stations. Police also fired in the air to dissolve them.

Youths also set fire to car tires on the streets.
