Transfer: Alexis Sanchez’s return to former club confirmed

Alexis Sanchez is expected to seal a return to Inter Milan this week.

According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Chilean has reached an agreement with his former club and will undergo a medical on Friday.

After the tests, Sanchez will put pen to paper on a short-term deal with the Serie A giants.

Romano tweeted: “Alexis Sanchez to Inter, here we go! He’s back on free transfer after spending one year at OM—an agreement reached and medical booked on Friday. Sanchez will sign short term deal in the next few days as he was waiting for Inter. He’s set to replace Joaquín Correa who joins OM.”

Sanchez is a free agent after his deal at Marseille expired this summer.

The 34-year-old has previously played for Arsenal and Manchester United in the Premier League.
