Transfer: Cremonese provide update on Dessers’ move to Rangers

Cremonese are awaiting a new offer for Cyriel Dessers from Scottish Premiership giants, Glasgow Rangers, according to sporting director, Simone Giacchetta.

Rangers already had a bid turned down for Dessers by Cremonese.

The side, who were relegated from Serie A last season, however, expected the Gers to submit a new proposal in the coming days.

“There is a negotiation with Rangers underway. But at the moment everything is still because we are waiting for them to formulate the new proposal,” Giacchetta told SportItalia.

Dessers linked up with the club from Belgian Pro League outfit, KRC Genk last summer.

He scored seven goals in 25 appearances last season.
