Transfer: Excellent step in your career – Rivaldo tells Neymar club to join

Brazilian legend, Rivaldo has urged Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar to leave the French Ligue 1 champions and join Manchester United this summer.

Rivaldo believes it will be an excellent step in Neymar’s career to join Manchester United from PSG.

Neymar has been linked with a move away from PSG this summer.

The Brazilian has also helped PSG win 13 trophies, including four Ligue 1 titles during his time at the club.

“I am in favour of Neymar transferring to Manchester United,” Rivaldo wrote in his Betfair column.

“In recent days, there has been talk that he might sign for the Premier League giants at the end of the season and, unlike when he left Barcelona for PSG, this time, I am in favour of this move.

“In 2017, I didn’t think it was beneficial for him to leave for France, although I understood his reasons. But now I am convinced that playing in the Premier League with Manchester United would be an excellent step in his career.”
