Transfer: Felix close to joining EPL club as deal enters final talks

Manchester United have reportedly entered ‘final talks’ with Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix in a bid to get a deal done in the January window.

According to French outlet Le 10 Sport, Felix is unsettled at Atletico Madrid, and Man United appear to be the front-runner for his signature.

Arsenal are named as Man United’s main competitor for the January transfer, with both Premier League clubs in talks with the forward’s agent.

Felix is set to leave Atletico in January, having failed to establish himself in manager Diego Simeone’s squad.

The 23-year-old joined Atletico Madrid for €126million from Benfica in the summer of 2019.

But the Portugal international has not been able to adapt to Simeone’s style and philosophy.
