Transfer: Højlund finally completes Man Utd medical

Rasmus Højlund has finally completed his Manchester United medical ahead of his £72million move from Atalanta.

According to Sky Sports, Højlund is likely to be formally presented as Man United new player this weekend – possibly at the Red Devils’ pre-season match against Lens at Old Trafford on Saturday.

He remains Man United manager Erik ten Hag’s preferred choice of striker to bring in this summer.

Hojlund will become Man United’s third major signing this summer, following the arrival of Mason Mount and Andre Onana.

The 20-year-old had joined Atalanta from Sturm Graz in 2022.
