Transfer: Iwobi to pen new long-term contract with Everton
Alex Iwobi is close to penning a new contract with Premier League club, Everton.
Iwobi moved to Everton from Arsenal in 2019 but struggled to make an instant impact at the club.
The 26-year-old has however turned his career around at Goodison Park and has featured regularly for the club this season.
Iwobi has two years remaining on his contract and the Toffees are keen to tie him down to a new contract.
“Alex Iwobi will soon sign new deal with Everton. Talks are well advanced, it’s gonna be new long-term deal. Negotiations are progressing to final stages,” transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano tweeted.
The midfielder has scored five goals in 98 league appearances for the Merseysiders.
