Transfer: Liverpool deal Man City big blow in pursuit of Josko Gvardiol

Liverpool might have dealt rivals Manchester City a blow in their pursuit of RB Leipzig defender, Josko Gvardiol.

RB Leipzig director, Max Eberi has told Sky Germany that their £60 million sale of Dominik Szoboszlai to Liverpool meant they are no longer in need of money.

For this reason, the German side said they want their highly-rated defender Gvardiol to remain at the club.

Manchester City IS pushing to sign the defender following the departure of some of their top stars this summer.

“The fact is Man City would like to have him,” said Eberl.
