Transfer: Man City woo Rice after Arsenal fail with two offers

Manchester City are seeking assurances from West Ham captain Declan Rice as they prepare to rival Arsenal for his signature, according to Sunday Mirror.

The Gunners have already seen two bids for Rice rejected by the Hammers.

Arsenal’s latest bid was £75 million plus £15 million in add-ons, but it still falls short of West Ham’s £100 million valuation.

That has opened the door for City to make their move, but the Premier League champions are looking to get consent from Rice that he would be willing to sign for them this summer.

Rice’s preference has always been to join Arsenal, even before City made their desire public.
