Transfer: What Gvardiol told me about Man City move – Willi Orban

Josko Gvardiol’s defensive partner at RB Leipzig, Willi Orban has provided an update on the player’s future at the club.

Manchester City is keen on signing the Croatia international this summer.

There were stories that the deal was almost done, but Orban said the player told him that nothing has been agreed upon.

Orban is Josko’s teammate and defensive partner at RB Leipzig.

He added more doubt to rumours of the Croatian’s possible move to Man City.

Orban said from RB Leipzig’s pre-season training camp, “I asked him [Gvardiol], he says the deal isn’t done,” according to talkSPORT.

“I would love to keep him here, he is a fantastic centre-back who is still very young and still has room for improvement.

“I hope he will stay with us.”
