U-17 AFCON: Golden Eaglets defender Lawali Man of the Match vs Zambia

Golden Eaglets defender, Yahaya Lawali was named Man of the Match following the side’s slim 1-0 victory against Zambia at the Stade Mohamed Hamlaoui, Constantine on Sunday night.

The right-back was at his marauding best in the game combining defensive and attacking duties perfectly.

The youngster also came close to scoring in the first half but his header sailed off target.

Lawali was in action for the entire game.

Favour Daniel scored the winning goal for Nduka Ugbade’s side on 74 minutes.

Substitute Light Eke also missed a late penalty.

Nigeria’s next game is against Morocco on Wednesday.
