UEFA Conference League: Chukwueze on target in Villarreal’s home draw against Hapoel Be’er Sheva

Samuel Chukwueze was among the goalscorers as Villarreal were held to a 2-2 draw by Isreali club, Hapoel Be’er Sheva in their UEFA Europa Conference League clash at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia on Thursday night.

The visitors took the lead from the penalty spot three minutes after the breakthrough from Tomer Hemed.

Chukwueze equalised for Villarreal in the 57th minute with Alberto Moreno providing the assist.

Nigerian-born Dutch forward, Arnaut Danjuma gave the Yellow Submarine the lead for the first time in the game in 70 minutes.

The visitors were however pegged back nine minutes later with Sagiv Yehezkel levelling scores.

Chukwueze has so far scored three goals and recorded three assists in seven appearances for Villarreal in the competition this season.

Villarreal are already guaranteed top spot in Group C.

Quique Sentien’s side will face Polish club, Lech Poznan in their final group game next week Thursday.
