UEL: He’s exceptional, I enjoyed watching him – Owen hails Man United forward

Former Manchester United midfielder, Owen Hargreaves has said he enjoyed 18-year-old Alejandro Garnacho in the Europa League on Thursday.

The teenage Argentine made his full debut for the Red Devils against Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League on Thursday.

Diogo Dalot, Marcus Rashford and Cristiano Ronaldo scored for the home side to hand Erik ten Hag’s men a well deserved victory.

And the youngster grasped the opportunity with both hands to earn rave reviews from Scholes.

Hargreaves told BT Sport, “He was exceptional, he had real quality. What I really liked was that he was so direct. He has some tricks as well.

“He had everything tonight, he was just missing a goal or an assist. When you think he’s 18, he was the most effective of all the forwards tonight.

“I really enjoyed watching him. He’s definitely one for the future and one for now actually.”
