Former Chelsea star Jason Cundy has slammed Manchester United players following their disappointing performance in the second leg of their UEFA Europa League quarter-final against Sevilla on Thursday.

Cundy said the Red Devils’ display against the Spanish side was the worst by any English team abroad.

It was a night to forget for the Red Devils at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium as the La Liga side ran out 3-0 winners to book their place in the semi-final, with the first leg having ended 2-2 at Old Trafford.

Youssef En-Nesyri took advantage of a Harry Maguire mistake from De Gea’s pass to fire the hosts in front.

Sevilla doubled their lead in the tie shortly after resumption through a Loic Bade header which De Gea failed to keep out.

“They were an absolute disgrace all over the pitch. They must have gone into this game knowing how difficult it was,” he told talkSPORT.

“Whatever you do, go out and have a fight.”

Manchester United will be hoping to bounce back this weekend when they play Brighton in the semi-final of the English FA Cup.
