Why Press Society Honoured Ejigbo Chairman TAT After One Year in Office
The Executive Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo (TAT), has received the prestigious Award of Excellence from The Press Society (TPS) in recognition of his first year in office and contributions to grassroots governance.
The award was formally presented by the President of The Press Society, Elias Abayomi Adagunduro, on behalf of the Society’s Executive Council.
According to the citation on the award plaque, TAT was honoured for “One Year of Purposeful Leadership, People-Centred Governance and Impactful Development,” with the recognition also commemorating “One Year of Transformative Service.”
The Press Society said the award reflects the administration’s emphasis on service, empowerment, community development and responsive governance.
TPS noted that TAT’s leadership philosophy has focused on translating public responsibility into tangible benefits for residents through stakeholder engagement, empowerment initiatives, community development and grassroots interventions.
The Society said the recognition underscores the importance of leadership that remains accessible and responsive to the needs of the people while pursuing measurable development at the grassroots.
For the Ejigbo chairman, the honour goes beyond the presentation of a plaque, as it represents institutional recognition of an administration committed to making public office synonymous with service, responsibility and development.
The recognition further adds to the profile of the TAT-led administration as it marks its first year in office, with the council administration continuing to pursue a people-centred governance model anchored on community development and empowerment.
