Why We increase DSTV, GOTV Prices Again – MultiChoice Explains

MultiChoice has announced an upward review of prices for its DStv and GOtv packages, set to take effect from March 1, 2025.

In a statement issued to customers on Monday,  monitor by newsmediang, the company explained that the price adjustment is necessary to maintain the quality of its content and services.

The statement, titled “Price Adjustments for DStv and GOtv Packages,” reads:

“Dear Customer, please note that effective 1 March 2025, there will be a price adjustment on all DStv packages. This is to enable us to continue to offer our customers world-class homegrown and international content, delivered through the best technology.”

This marks nearly a year since MultiChoice last reviewed its pricing.

According to the company, the new rates will see the DStv Compact bouquet increase from N15,700 to N19,000, Compact Plus rise to N30,000, and the Premium subscription jump to N44,500.

Similarly, GOtv subscribers will also experience an increase. The new pricing structure includes:

GOtv package: N3,900 (up from N3,600)

GOtv Max: N8,500

GOtv Supa: N11,400
