World Cup: Best midfielder in the world – Neymar hails Brazil star after Switzerland win

Brazil forward, Neymar Jr, has hailed Casemiro as “the best midfielder in the world”.

Casemiro scored a late winner as his country beat Switzerland 1-0 on Monday, to qualify for the knockout stages of the 2022 World Cup.

Neymar missed the game entirely after picking up an ankle injury in the 2-0 win over Serbia last week.

However, the PSG superstar followed the match and was full of praise for Casemiro, who scored a sublime half-volley to win it.

“Casemiro has been the best midfielder in the world for a long time,” Neymar tweeted.

Brazil will face Cameroon in their last group fixture – a match Neymar is likely to miss as he recovers.
