World Cup: You’re lucky not to have conceded more goals – Udeze disappointed at Cameroon

Former Nigeria International, Udezehas lambasted Cameroon after they failed to fight hard to at least get a draw during their World Cup opener against Switzerland on Thursday.

Udeze, who played from the left back during his footballing days, said the African representative did not do enough during the game.

Cameroon was beaten 1-0 by the Europeans in Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup, with Cameroonian born Breel Embolo scoring the only goal for the Swiss.

Udeze’s anger was that despite the goal coming early in the second half, the Africans could not make efforts to equalise.

“The Cameroonians ought to have attacked Switzerland but even with the time running out they were still defending,” Udeze told Brila FM.

“They were lucky not to have conceded more goals. I actually thought they would concede more.”
