Zamfara NURTW chairman sacks principal officers of union in state

The new caretaker Chairman of the National Union of Raod Transport Workers, NURTW in Zamfara State, Mustapha Maigoro Kurya has sacked all principal officers of the union in the fourteen local government areas of the state.

The Chairman gave the sack order shortly after his inauguration and directed security operatives in their respective branches to take over the activities of the union till further notice.

He said the dissolution of the local government executives followed the irregularities done by the immediate past leaders of the union.

Maigoro thanked Governor Dauda Lawal for appointing him caretaker Chairman, promising to carry everybody along for the development of the Union in the state.

He, however, called on aggrieved members of the union in the state to come and join hands to uplift the standard of the union.

“The NURTW is our own, we will do our best for the welfare of our members across the state in order to achieve the desired goals”, he added.
