Beyonce backs Meghan Markle in powerful show of support

Beyonce has backed Meghan Markle in a powerful show of support for the Duchess of Sussex.

The megastar is the latest big name to publicly praise the former actress for her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Beyonce, 39, says she was inspired by Meghan after the tell-all chat, which aired in the US on Sunday night.

On Monday, tennis legend Serena Williams defended Meghan on social media, saying that she understands the “pain and cruelty” she has experienced.

Beyonce added he voice and called Meghan courageous for standing up for what she feels is right.

“Thank you Meghan for your courage and leadership,” she wrote alongside a photo of the pair at the premiere for The Lion King in 2019.

“We are all strengthened and inspired by you.”

Meghan, 39, and her husband Harry laid bare their brief lives as a working royal couple in front of the world.

The interview was watched by more than 11 million people in the UK on Monday night after 17 million Americans tuned in on Sunday night.
