Photos from NLC and TUC nationwide strike protest

Recall members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) had promised to embark on a nationwide protest today? Well they kept to their promise.

The protest is coming following plans to amend the national minimum wage act.

The protest ensued after a bill to remove the national minimum wage from exclusive list to Concurrent list passed second reading at the House of Representatives. The bill is being sponsored by Honourable Garba Mohammed of Sabon Gari Federal Constituency, Kaduna State.
