Doping: Juventus should never have re-signed Pogba – Alessio Tacchinardi

Former Juventus midfielder, Alessio Tacchinardi, has suggested that the Serie A giants should never have re-signed Paul Pogba last year.

Pogba re-joined Juventus from Manchester United in 2022.

The Frenchman has been provisionally suspended by Juventus after testing positive for testosterone this week.

Speaking about the development, Tacchinardi said, as quoted by Italian outlet, Tuttomercatoweb, “Many other players, when they returned to Italy after many years, had a similar parable and did much more struggles to repeat himself.

“Kakà, Shevchenko and Vidal come to mind, but there are many others. Beyond this doping issue, I would have looked for a more solid midfielder in any case because it was clear that he [Pogba] was not the same player as before.
