 Tension has reportedly risen around a high-rise property in the highbrow Victoria Island area of Lagos after operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) allegedly marked the development with a warning directing members of the public to keep off.

The property, located at 68 Molade Okoya Thomas Street, off Ajose Adeogun Street, Victoria Island, is reportedly linked to Levitikal Realties and property developer Dr. Samuel Mawuyon Ajose, a former Lagos governorship candidate.

The building was reportedly marked with inscriptions including “EFCC — KEEP OFF” and “EFCC Under Investigation — Keep Off.”

Sources familiar with the development reportedly linked the commission’s action to an alleged fraud investigation.
