#EndSARS: Lagos Govt Accuses Protesters Of Damaging Fire Truck
The Lagos state government on Wednesday accused some #EndSARS protesters of damaging a fire service truck.
Citynews reports that the state government levelled the accusation in a Twitter post on Wednesday.
According to the government, the incident happened in Alausa, Ikeja, on Tuesday.
Margaret Adeseye, acting head of the agency, was quoted as saying there was an unprovoked attack on the truck used daily for emergency situations.
According to her, the fire engine truck was on its way from where it had been deployed to quell a fire incident “before it was attacked by some of the protesters”.
“The distress call to Olowoira was received at about 12.08hrs and the Alausa fire truck was en-route the scene from Opebi, where it had just concluded an operation before it was attacked and damaged by some protesters,” Adeseye said.
Speaking to journalists at the scene of the incident, the Acting Head of the Agency, Mrs. Margaret Adeseye, expressed her dissatisfaction at the unprovoked attack on the truck used daily to assist and support Lagosians in emergency situations.@jidesanwoolu @LAG_FireService#LASG

However, some social media users have refuted the claim by the state government, saying the vehicle was not damaged by protesters.
Era Iyayi, a Twitter user, asked the state government to provide evidence so that the protesters can be fished out and handed over to security operatives.
“We appreciate the service of firefighters & NO #EndSWAT protester will do this without witness,” Iyayi said.
“Please provide evidence that #EndSARS protesters & not your thugs did this & we will fish them out and hand to law enforcement. Deal?”
The agenda setter @gboyegaakosile has come again.
