EndSARS Protest: The Nigerian Police Declare Nine Persons Wanted

The Police Authorities in Nigeria have declared wanted some suspected organizer, members of the EndSARS protests that erupted the country simultaneously on 20th October 2020 by the Nigerian youth’s mass protests tag’s “EndSARS”.

Names of some of the organizers were made known through written confessional statement’s, by some of the arrested persons, preliminary investigation show that, those on the wanted lists of the police include: Sunday Williams, 40, Soyi olawonye 39, Abayomi Ameho 49, Sonia Mene Vincent Obayemi 25, and others.

The Lagos State Police Command made the declaration while parading 35 persons suspected to been members of the EndSARS, they were arrested during the protests in Lekki toll gate Lagos, this was made possible by the help of security personnel.

Briefing newsmen in Lagos, on behalf of the Nigerian Police, the Commissioner of police Lagos state command, CP Edgar Imohimi said suspected EndSARS protester’s members was in unlawfully assembly as early as 4:00 am with clandestine motives to cause mayhem in the country.

He informed the newsmen that it’s was the effort of the combined team of the Army and Police whom swooped on the suspected members of the EndSARS protester’s who were singing different war songs, brandishing the outlawed banner’s and tearing the County’s flag, it’s was the combined effort of the security team that arrested 35 protester’s.

The commissioner however, appealed to members of the public who may have useful information that would lead to the arrest of the above listed persons, to please contact the nearest police station, assuring that such information would be treated in strict confidentiality.

The EndSARS members whom Our Crime Correspondence learnt numbering above one thousand, were carrying brandished placards with various inscriptions like: ” IG EndSARS nown, Nigerian failed government, we need inclusive governance, some who wore T- shirts and face cups where also bearing the EndSARS now.

Eyewitness told our crime correspondence in Lagos, that although there were reports of killing allover the country, but the killing in lekki toll gate was massive, we were on a peaceful protests where the security operatives whom were supposed to protecting the lives of the citizens, opened fired on the EndSARS protester’s, the peaceful protests was to registered the brutality on the Nigerian youth’s, the situation that was becoming man inhumanity to man, created by the Nigerian police force under the nose of a democratic elected government.

Meanwhile the Nigerian police have declared the above listed persons and their cohorts wanted against the Nigerian state.
